“Real neat, well done.”
Otis Ingelstam, Designer & Co-Founder of kepa
not today. Save it for another day. Wear it on a cap.
capri. Island in the bay of Naples. Limoncello and handmade leather sandals. Anchored yachts in Marina Grande. For early-morning cappuccino drinkers to after-dinner digestivo sippers. Wear it on a cap.
bubblegum. Chew it. Blow a bubble. Chew it again. That’s it. Wear it on a cap.
lemonade. Homemade or carbonated. Lemon, water, and a sweetener. Maybe syrup or honey. Sold in stands or cans. Cloudy, pink, clear, and brown. Wear it on a cap.
cacio e pepe. Cheese and pepper. Like stripped down mac and cheese. Minimalist, clean, no fuzz. Wear it on a cap.
calamari. Cook it quickly over high heat or slowly over low. Grill it, roast it, stir-fry it, sauté it, or even deep-fry it. Or, you know. Wear it on a cap.
magnum. Double the size of a standard bottle. Same neck size, making each bottle’s air content the same. Meaning the liquid matures more slowly, resulting in a more complex and harmonious taste. Another way to achieve a more complex and harmonious taste? Wear it on a cap.
sunday. Day of the sun. Carefully placed between Saturday and Monday. Day of rest for some, the first day of the week for others. Great for brunches and garden care. Wear it on a cap.
Sugar and spice and everything nice.

A saying that at the dawn of time attributed to what little boys and girls were made off and so should behave accordingly.

I couldn’t give a rats ass regarding how kids should behave. If they love sand so much they wanna stuff their mouth full, let them. Why should I push my food ideologies on them if they’ve figured out a much quicker way to fill up on minerals.

But we’re getting off the point.
Or well, to be honest, there isn’t really a point to be made..
I could tell you some long and intricate story of how the founders came up with the idea of kepa when they were looking out over some Mediterranean horizon while sipping limoncello, and suddenly realized they didn’t have anything to shade themselves from the sun with. One of them would realize that they should make a hat that protects your face from ultraviolet radiation and looks amazing, and in some weird way relates to their grandpa wearing a cap as an old sailor. Eureka!

But in the end, none of that happened.

In the end we just love ourselves a nice cap, and we thought it would be neat to place words, that make us feel warm inside, on those caps. That’s all that really matters. Something gives me that special feeling inside. A feeling that is hard to put my finger on, but I love it all the same. And as a thank you to that special something,

I wear it on a cap.
